The passion for adventure, solidarity, and the spirit of overcoming challenges come together once again in the Panda Raid 2025, and at TMA Tecnología Medio Ambiente, we are proud to support the Sant Qgat team on their journey through the Moroccan desert for another year.
In this 17th edition, Joan and Ubaldo will once again represent our city, Sant Cugat, in a unique race where more than 300 teams will defy logic and test their endurance aboard the iconic SEAT Marbella cars.
This race is a test of perseverance, camaraderie, and solidarity, which makes us proud to support the representatives of our city.
This rally, which challenges logic and the limits of endurance, reminds us that with commitment and teamwork, the most difficult challenges can be overcome.
Once again, we support the Sant Qgat team, which will take on this challenge with the goal of pushing the limits, experiencing an unforgettable experience, and leaving its mark on the competition.

In its 17th edition, which will take place from April 11 to 18, 2025, teams will travel more than 3,000 kilometers in a desert filled with dunes, rocky terrain, and unpaved roads.
Participants must face this challenge without the aid of GPS or modern technical assistance. This challenge requires skill and strategy, as well as a deep connection with the vehicle and between driver and co-driver.
Along the way, the teams must overcome various stages with varying levels of difficulty, culminating at Mehdia Beach on the Atlantic coast.

THE SANT QGAT TEAM GOES ALL OUT IN THE DESERT SAND: ADVENTURE AND SUSTAINABILITY AT THE PANDA RAID 2025
The Sant Qgat team, sponsored by TMA, is no stranger to this adventure.
They have already demonstrated their talent behind the wheel in previous editions.
Ubaldo, 73, is facing his seventh participation in the Panda Raid, where he has already achieved a third and second place in the two-wheel drive classification, while Joan (78) is marking his fifth participation, and with more enthusiasm than ever!
For Joan and Ubaldo, the Panda Raid 2025 is not just a race; it is a personal challenge, an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to overcome challenges, and a unique experience they will share with other adventurers from around the world.
Both have been clear about what motivates them to venture into the Panda Raid: “The desire to excel remains intact, despite our age. We face this challenge with renewed energy and eager to continue fighting for the top spots,” they say enthusiastically.
This year, the cars have been thoroughly prepared. “We have thoroughly repaired the cars, even changing the engine and gearbox on Joan’s. We know that the mechanics are key: if they don’t respond, there’s no way we can fight for a good result,” they comment.
For them, every detail is crucial, because in the Panda Raid, everything comes down to the vehicle’s endurance and reliability.
The Sant Qgat team will compete with two SEAT Marbella vehicles from 1990 and 1992, a model they know perfectly.
Ubaldo De Azpiazu will compete with race number 412 and will be co-driven by Jonathan Guerra, and Joan Molinera will compete with race number 413, alongside his co-driver Josep Maria Gutiérrez.

As Joan and Ubaldo explain, their approach to this year’s race will be “to be as consistent as possible, trying not to penalize ourselves with time, and to make decisions from the middle of the race onwards, in addition to supporting each other and helping the highest-placed of the two.”
This approach reflects their commitment to teamwork and improvement.
In a rally of such toughness and length, consistency is essential to avoid setbacks and ensure both vehicles go as far as possible without losing pace or valuable time.
With their experience and collaborative approach, the team is ready to face every challenge of the desert, not only striving for the best individual result, but also supporting each other at all times to maximize their collective performance.
