We manage all types of hospital waste

In our treatment plants, we manage hospital waste:

  • Group I: non-hazardous waste that, due to its nature and composition, is inert or non-special, such as office materials, and waste generated in kitchen, bars, canteens or from gardening.

  • Group II: non-hazardous waste which, due to its nature and composition, is inert or not special, but which within the center may pose a risk to patients with low defenses: dressing materials, plasters, blood-stained clothing and single-use materials, secretions and other waste not included in group III.

  • Group III: health care waste with biological contamination or capable of transmitting infectious diseases, blood and blood derivatives, cultures and infectious agents, sharp or cutting material and live or attenuated vaccines.

  • Group IV: cytotoxic, cytostatic, radioactive, expired drugs, contaminated containers and cosmetics.

  • Chemical products: solvents and laboratory reagents.

Supplying of containers

For the conditioning and transport of group III and IV biomedical waste and chemical products, we offer approved containers of different capacities:

  • Group III: from 0.6 to 60 L.
  • Group IV: 30 / 60 L containers.
  • Other containers: containers for liquid waste with a capacity between 5 and 30 L.

Approved and safe transport

We offer an efficient and safe logistic service. Our vehicles comply with the technical requirements of Decree 27/99 and the European Agreement on the International Carriage of Goods by Road (ADR).

Treatment

In order to carry out the correct management of the waste, we transport it through our fleet of approved vehicles to our authorized plants, where we unload it for its subsequent management, guaranteeing its traceability at all times.

We adjust the treatment to the requirements of the waste. Through the Autoclave sterilization system, biomedical waste is sterilized, ending its cycle as inert waste.

Quality assurance

At TMA we guarantee the quality of all our waste management services, from waste conditioning, transportation and subsequent treatment. Likewise, since we work with our own equipment and facilities, we ensure the traceability of the entire process, providing the corresponding treatment certificate.
