TMA continues to provide comprehensive waste and recycling management services for the Provincial Directorate of the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS) in Barcelona, the archive-warehouse in Granollers and the 7 Comprehensive Social Security Offices (OISS) located in Drassanes, Nou Barris, Cornellà de Llobregat, Granollers, Mataró, Mollet del Vallès and Vilafranca del Penedès.
COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF TGSS WASTE
At TMA we carry out comprehensive waste management, from providing the necessary containers to collection and transport to the plant, as well as the management and selective treatment of paper, plastic containers, PET, glass, cans and toner.
We have a wide range of containers, boxes, packages, containers and compactors with different characteristics and capacities, suitable for the storage and transport of each type of waste.
We analyse the needs and spaces of each client so that, if necessary, we can manufacture customised containers, signs indicating what type of waste must be placed in each container, or identification labels.
At the Provincial Directorate of the General Treasury of Social Security in Barcelona, the archive-warehouse in Granollers and the 7 Comprehensive Social Security Offices we have provided different types of containers:
- For the collection of paper, the containers are of solid structure, compactors and 150-litre waste bins for the offices.
- For the collection of PET, plastic, glass and can waste, we have provided special 140-litre containers placed preferably next to the respective vending machines. These containers are of solid structure, metal or plastic and closed, with a slot suitable for the waste to be deposited.
- To collect toner, the container is made of plastic or cardboard of 150 liters. Toner is a type of waste whose container can be refilled or the process of separating its components and valorizing each of the pieces to be able to give them a second useful life, transforming them into other resources.
At TMA we offer a 24/7/365 service, so we adapt the frequency of our collection and transport services to the needs of each of the offices.
We work under the Zero Waste philosophy (Reduce – Reuse – Recycle) by valorizing waste and extending its life cycle. We recover and reuse the largest amount of waste to contribute as much as possible to the Circular Economy.
Recycling service at the Granollers archive-warehouse
We have installed a paper compactor inside the warehouse premises that we collect periodically and will transfer to our Sant Cugat plant for subsequent recycling.
In addition, we have also installed containers for the collection of various waste products, including wood, plastic, construction materials, computer components, polystyrene, metal, etc. These waste products are also removed and valued in our plants, where we classify all the recoverable materials to be recycled.

Removal and destruction of confidential documentation
Beyond our main comprehensive waste management services, at TMA we offer a series of complementary services to meet the demands of our clients: destruction of confidential material, technical cleaning and unblocking, marketing of recycled material, pest prevention and control, training and advice, gardening, landscaping, arboriculture and forestry work, among others.
In this specific case, the TGSS put out to tender the document destruction services. We know the importance of the privacy of our client’s data and the destruction of sensitive documents. For this reason, we have installed containers of different capacities, which we collect periodically. We then transport confidential materials in our vehicles to our facilities for final destruction. Once all the work has been completed, we provide detailed documentation on traceability and the corresponding certificate of destruction.
Removal and recycling/treatment of miscellaneous material, electronic equipment and polluting waste
We handle these resources carefully and efficiently, from collection to final treatment.
We apply advanced techniques to ensure that each material is managed properly, thus reducing any negative impact on the environment and complying with all current regulations.
