The Decentralised Municipal Entity of Valldoreix has entrusted Espais Verds del Vallès, the TMA gardening company, to take charge of revitalising the network of streams located in the EMD area.
AREAS WE TREAT
At Espais Verds we will act on the headwater streams that collect rainwater from a large part of Valldoreix, as well as from the Collserola mountain range.
For a minimum period of two years, we will carry out the maintenance and cleaning of eight streams in Valldoreix. In the first year, we will focus on streams such as Passeig de la Guineu, Bobines, Llobet, Can Monmany, while in the second year, special attention will be given to the streams and sections of Badal, Clavell, Nonell, Saladrigues, Olimpia and Guineu.
SCHEDULING
The execution of tasks is subject to careful scheduling. We avoid periods of high risk of forest fires and adverse weather conditions that may cause flooding.
For this reason, before starting work we also take into account warnings of risky meteorological situations, especially in work on the beds of torrents and streams.
This scheduling of dates is also useful to carry out our work in an optimal and agile manner, to work productively and without disturbing citizens.
INTEGRAL SERVICE AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
At Espais Verds and TMA, we are characterized by carrying out our work in a complete and comprehensive manner.
We have highly qualified personnel and state-of-the-art machinery.
The Espais Verds team is made up of a non-executive site manager, two teams (made up of 1 group leader, 1 specialist officer, 3 specialist labourers) and another team made up of a forestry machinist and a specialist labourer. Tools such as telescopic chainsaws, brush cutters, blowers, bio-shredders, among others, are used to guarantee efficient and environmentally friendly work.
In the Valldoreix streams we carry out the following tasks:
- We take care of the vegetation, carrying out our operations with total respect for the environment. Our technicians carefully study the site before intervening, working to promote the protection of nature.
- We apply the specific treatment for each species. In this project, we mainly act on the reed present in the riverbed, considering and respecting the native shrub layer on the banks of the streams.
- In the case of shredding or other processes for the removal of plant remains, we always make sure to do so in safe places that do not represent risks.
- When managing fallen trees, we begin by removing the branches and cutting them up to reduce their size, using chainsaws, hand saws or axes. We then remove the remains from the area to manage them safely.
- When felling dangerous trees, our aim is to protect natural spaces and people. The resulting plant remains such as trunks, stumps and branches are stored in equipment intended for transport and management.
- We are responsible for removing waste of anthropic origin in the areas where we intervene and we deposit them in approved bags so that the EMD Valldoreix brigade can later collect them.

The quality management in our service includes the detection and communication of incidents, as well as adequate signage in work areas to prevent accidents.
