Effective management of 75,000kg/month of waste from the Alicante II Penitentiary Centre at TMA
The Alicante II Penitentiary Centre, located in Villena, faces the daily task of managing the waste generated by its considerable population, made up of 1,100 inmates, plus the staff who work in shifts. This high activity results in a monthly generation of approximately 75,000 kilos of waste, requiring an effective and responsible solution for its management. In this context, TMA is the ideal management company to take charge of the collection and transfer of all waste produced in the centre to our treatment plants. OPERATION AND PERIOD OF SERVICE
TMA’s work for the Alicante II Penitentiary Centre focuses on the installation of compactors for the disposal of waste, its subsequent removal and transfer. Scheduled removal is carried out twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with adaptations in case of holidays to maintain continuity of service. In addition, we are prepared for extraordinary interventions when the amount of waste exceeds the storage capacity of the center.

The technical means used by TMA are state-of-the-art, with compactors equipped with advanced technology and various capacities to adapt to the specific needs of each entity.
The fundamental advantages of using compactors lie in saving space. As their name indicates, these devices compact, that is, they compress the waste, reducing its volume. This translates into the need for fewer containers to deposit the waste and a reduction in the frequency of removals.
In this case, we provide compactors with a capacity of 19 m3 useful, equipped with features such as an emergency button, immediate stop and a hopper to prevent waste from being blown away. We ensure its optimal operation through periodic reviews and, in the event of a breakdown, we guarantee its replacement in less than 24 hours.
