New contract awarded to TMA for efficient recycling at the Canal Olímpic de Catalunya
In a significant step towards sustainable waste management, the Canal Olímpic de Catalunya has awarded us the contract to supply containers and provide comprehensive waste collection, transport and treatment services.
WASTE AND RECYCLING IN THE OLYMPIC CANAL OF CATALONIA
Located in Castelldefels, the Olympic Canal of Catalonia, which was the venue for sporting events during the 1992 Olympic Games, currently serves as a space for sporting and leisure activities, generating a variety of waste that we at TMA manage efficiently:
- Remaining fraction
- Organic fraction
- Light packaging fraction
- Construction and demolition waste fraction
- Pruning fraction
- Hazardous waste fraction
In order to guarantee the correct recycling of each material, we provide our clients with closed containers of different sizes, each of them indicated for a specific type of waste.
To help people identify in which container they should deposit each waste, we provide containers of different colors, also through the use of pictograms. With these measures, each person can easily identify which waste goes in each container.
In addition, at TMA we provide awareness training on recycling, the Circular Economy, waste management, etc.
DIFFERENT CONTAINERS AND OUR WORK AT TMA
Depending on the production and type of waste, we supply containers of different sizes. In this case, we provide:
- 1 m3 – 2 m3 containers for light packaging (plastic).
- 5 m3 – 7 m3 containers for paper and cardboard, construction and demolition waste.
- 9 m3 – 12 m3 containers for banal/non-bulky waste.
- 25 m3 – 30 m3 containers for banal/bulky waste, pruning and scrap.
- 240 L – 260 L containers for organic waste.
- 20 L drums for hazardous waste, such as batteries.
- 60 L drums for hazardous waste, such as absorbents.
- 120 L drums for hazardous materials, such as aerosols.
- 200 L drums for hazardous materials, such as non-halogenated solvents.
- 200 L boxes for hazardous materials, such as fluorescent lights.
Each of our containers includes placement, maintenance, cleaning, repairs and replacement, if necessary, for its correct operation.
Our response times are the fastest on the market, since we intervene on the same day or in the following 24 hours.
We take care of the collection of the containers through our trucks, specially prepared for the coordination of the services.
We adapt the collection schedule in order to facilitate the work activity and guarantee the comfort of our clients.
At TMA we always work under the regulations and work ethics, avoiding any action or conduct that may entail risks and we take charge of the administrative management of the documentation required by the applicable regulations.
In addition, we adhere to the Equality Plan to guarantee fair and equitable work practices.
