Each ton of recycled paper, for example, saves 24,000 liters of water and prevents tree cutting, demonstrating how small actions can have a large environmental impact. Our sorting and recycling plants are equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure that every recyclable material, from plastic to cardboard, glass, or wood, is turned into a reusable resource. This process, which includes baler presses, shredders, and mills, optimizes the efficiency of waste management.

For example, recycling plastic can reduce energy consumption by up to 66% compared to producing new plastic.

To achieve this, we have developed innovative technologies and processes that allow us to optimize recovery, always striving for continuous improvement in both the quality and capacity of our treatment systems.

Additionally, at TMA, we adopt the Zero Waste philosophy, which aims to keep products and materials in use for as long as possible, minimizing waste. Currently, through our low-emission vehicles, over 250 vehicles in 11 types, including electric and hybrid LPG models, we are reducing CO₂ emissions. 

In addition, thanks to an advanced geolocation system, we optimize transportation routes to ensure that our vehicles take the shortest, most efficient routes, minimizing emissions from transportation as well.

At TMA, we have taken on this commitment. The ‘Calculo’ Certification, awarded by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, certifies that we are measuring our greenhouse gas emissions and taking active steps to reduce them.

The ‘Calculo’ certification strengthens our sustainability strategy, focused on quantifying and reducing the carbon footprint. Through this certification, TMA commits to measuring its emissions but, more importantly, to establishing concrete plans to minimize them.
