At Tecnología Medio Ambiente we are committed to a sustainable future and more and more companies trust us to work together to preserve the environment.
This time, the Hospital de Santa Creu de Jesús, managed by GESAT S.A.M., has awarded us the services of collection, transport and management of waste, mainly confidential paper (group I), infectious health waste (group III) and cytostatic waste (group IV) for a period of 4 years.
The responsible management of hospital waste requires solid collaboration between companies and TMA, as specialists in environmental management. It is vital to implement policies and procedures that guarantee the proper segregation, safe storage and treatment applied to each type of waste. In this way, we can guarantee the safety of patients, health professionals and the environment in which we live.
WORK WE CARRY OUT
The work we carry out to ensure the traceability of waste in the Hospital is as follows:
-
- We supply the containers and other material means necessary for the disposal of each type of waste.
- We establish the collection periods according to the needs of the company. At least once a week we collect the containers and replace them with new ones, in order to be able to empty them. In the case of confidential documentation, we manage it once a month, in the establishment itself.
- We collect and transport the waste in the containers on board our approved trucks and in the direction of our authorized treatment plants.
- Once we deposit the waste in our plants, we manage each type of waste according to its nature and conditions, applying the indicated treatment, under the concept of our Zero Waste Philosophy and contributing to the Circular Economy.
- We provide the documents requested by the company: the itinerant monitoring of sanitary waste in due compliance, or the control of the replacement of containers, the certificate of Destruction and ecological recovery…
- We also offer advice to our clients about waste management in general and we resolve issues related to documentation, classification, procedures, etc.
