TMA has been awarded the contract for the <\/span><b>management and collection of waste generated in the laboratories of the Center for Forestry Science and Technology of Catalonia (CTFC).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This service covers both the collection and transportation of waste generated at its two locations, located in Solsona and El Pi de Sant Just, as well as its <\/span><b>proper treatment, ensuring that the process is carried out in compliance with all current environmental and safety regulations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. In this article, we explore how TMA will carry out the collection, transportation, and treatment of laboratory waste for the CFTC, sustainably and efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n<div Catalonia (CTFC), strive to be innovative in their projects and also responsible with the environment and safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CTFC laboratories generate specific waste, such as solvents, chemicals, and plastic materials, which require <\/span><b><a title=\"Recycling and Treatment\" href=\"http:\/\/tma.es\/en\/recycling-and-treatment\/\">specialized treatment<\/a> to avoid their environmental impact.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To ensure that innovation does not leave a negative impact on the environment, the CTFC has awarded TMA the management of waste generated in its laboratories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this way, the CTFC promotes the advancement of the possibility of extension.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The services that TMA will provide range from the supply of suitable containers to the treatment and transportation of waste, following all established environmental regulations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the services that will be provided:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><b>Necessary administrative management:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> treatment contract, acceptance forms, and follow-up documentation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Supply of appropriate containers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for each type of waste, their collection and replacement as they become href=\"http:\/\/tma.es\/en\/collection-and-transportation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>from collection to final treatment<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in specialized facilities, is carried out in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout this project, TMA is committed to sustainable and efficient waste management, thereby reducing the carbon footprint and ensuring proper treatment to minimize the environmental impact of the waste generated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Key_services_in_the_CTFCs_comprehensive_waste_management\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Key services in the CTFC&#8217;s comprehensive waste management<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The waste management service provided by TMA for the CTFC will include the following specific activities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Documentation Processing: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes the management of the documentation required by current legislation for the proper collection and transportation of waste (treatment contract, acceptance form, mobile monitoring sheet, and advance notification of transfer).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Container Delivery: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This service includes the supply of 60L plastic drums with hermetic seals for proper waste collection.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TMA will ensure that full drums are replaced with empty ones, as well as the supply of additional drums if the types of waste generated by the center expand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The delivery of the drums will include the placement of identification labels in accordance with current regulations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Waste Collection. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The waste to be collected is:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recoverable plastic containers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Glass containers with special waste.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recoverable metal containers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-halogenated solvents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Non-halogenated neutral organic solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acidic inorganic solutions without heavy metals.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each type of waste has its own regulations and handling requirements, and TMA has an <strong><a title=\"Own fleet for waste transportation\" href=\"http:\/\/tma.es\/en\/vehicles-and-equipment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved fleet<\/a> and specialized team with
