managing the collection, transport and treatment of waste batteries, cables, scrap and metals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This tender, promoted by SIRESA, will have an initial duration of three renewable years and represents an important step in improving the processes of treatment, transport and recovery of waste.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At TMA we reinforce our commitment to the Circular Economy and sustainable development in an increasingly demanding urban environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" codes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Batteries (CER 160601)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cables (CER 170411)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scrap (CER 200140)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metals (CER 200140)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The total forecast is that TMA will manage more than 1,980 tons of waste and it is estimated that they will be distributed in the following quantities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Batteries:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 100 tons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Cables:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 22 tons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Scrap: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1,800 tons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Metals:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 65 tons<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These figures have been established taking as a reference the collection data for 2023 and the evolution recorded in previous years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each type of waste requires specific treatment. In the city of Barcelona they are called Green Zone Points (PVZ).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"WASTE_COLLECTION_AN_OPTIMIZED_AND_SAFE_PROCESS\"><\/span><strong>WASTE COLLECTION, AN OPTIMIZED AND SAFE PROCESS<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each collection operation will be carried out following strict safety and efficiency protocols. This includes marking out work areas, using absorbent materials to prevent spills and thoroughly cleaning the facilities after each operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Approved scales will be used in all garbage dumps and Green Zone Points facilities to ensure transparency and precision in the weighing of the waste collected. This control system provides reliable data on the quantities managed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"AMBS_WASTE_TRANSPORT_WITH_ITS_OWN_SPECIALISED_FLEET\"><\/span><strong>AMB&#8217;S WASTE TRANSPORT, WITH ITS OWN, SPECIALISED FLEET<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Efficient and safe waste transport requires a fleet designed to handle the particularities of each material: efficient waste management begins with efficient and responsible transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TMA has<\/span><b> vehicles adapted to each type of waste<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the framework of this tender, waste batteries, cables, scrap and metals will be collected using a truck with an articulated arm with pop and a truck with a platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>With our own fleet, we guarantee efficient operations adapted to the collection and transport needs of each type of waste and each facility.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In addition, waste will be transported using approved containers to avoid any impact on public roads.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The vehicles are prepared to avoid spills and guarantee the cleanliness of the environment, ensuring that waste is transported without incident and in an environmentally friendly manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Our more than 250 vehicles, of 11 different types, including electric and LPG hybrid models, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">comply with environmental and safety regulations and optimize the collection and transport process to provide an efficient and sustainable service. The incorporation of real-time geolocation systems allows us to optimize routes and reduce emissions associated with transport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The constant modernization of our fleet reflects <\/span><b>our effort to lead an efficient and environmentally friendly integrated waste management.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"TREATMENT_PLANTS_EFFICIENCY_AND_INNOVATION_IN_RECOVERY_PROCESSES\"><\/span><strong>TREATMENT PLANTS: EFFICIENCY AND INNOVATION IN RECOVERY PROCESSES<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TMA has treatment facilities fully authorized by the Waste Agency of Catalonia, which guarantees <\/span><b>the traceability of waste and quality in each process.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our plants are equipped with approved scales and advanced technologies <\/span><b>to ensure efficiency in management.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The treatments that will be carried out within the framework of this tender aim <\/span><b>to maximize the recovery of materials. <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes recycling and recovery processes that allow resources to be reintegrated into the production cycle, reducing environmental impact and promoting the Circular Economy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>At TMA we have state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Our headquarters are located in Sant Cugat del Vall\u00e8s (Barcelona) and we are also present in the Port of Barcelona and in Terrassa. The management of this waste focuses on separating and recovering copper, one of the most valuable metals due to its high electrical conductivity, and recycling the plastic that covers them. This process significantly reduces the need to extract virgin raw materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scrap (CER 200140):<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This type of waste includes metal fragments from household appliances, construction structures and other materials.
