The intervention covers an area of \u200b\u200b5.05 hectares with a double purpose: to improve the safety of people, homes and infrastructure, and to reduce the risk of fires spreading from interior areas to the exterior.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"DETAILS_OF_THE_FIRE-FIGHTING_WORK\"><\/span><strong>DETAILS OF THE FIRE-FIGHTING WORK<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The work, divided into two phases, has been planned to ensure effective fire prevention:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase 1: Opening of roads and construction of loading docks<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this initial stage, the opening and repair of service roads has been carried out, together with the construction of loading docks. The precise identification of the location of these loaders and tracks in phase 1 involves the clearing of waste and the removal of materials that may hinder work. On slopes greater than 25%, additional operations are carried out, such as excavation of topsoil and smoothing of slopes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase 2: Density reduction and clearing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The second phase has focused on reducing tree density and clearing undergrowth. Our staff (specialist technician, officer or labourer), specialized in the assigned tasks, have extensive experience and the necessary training, and also operate with uniforms designed to guarantee their protection and comfort in any situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Machinery and equipment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The machinery, tools and auxiliary means that we use comply with the most recent safety and traffic regulations. Equipped with the latest technology, with these resources we ensure efficiency and safety at each stage of the intervention.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monitoring and control<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The management, monitoring and control of the works are the responsibility of the technical services of the Terrassa City Council. An Espais Verds technician is available at all times to collaborate and ensure that the established requirements are met.
