TMA has a division specialized in <\/span>port waste<\/b> management in the <\/span>Port of Barcelona<\/b>. Our services range from waste collection to waste treatment and recovery, carried out with our own transport and facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

We offer the highest quality service to our customers<\/span> 24 hours a day, 365 days a year<\/b>. We assist shipowners, cruise lines, shipping agents, merchants and ferries, as well as freight forwarders and port terminals in the management of their waste and the destruction of goods.<\/span><\/p>\n

In line with our<\/span> Zero Waste philosophy<\/b> and the principles of the Circular Economy, we <\/span>recover all potentially recoverable waste<\/b> from MARPOL V (plastic, paper, cardboard, glass, etc.) and MARPOL I (fuel oil).<\/span><\/p>\n

State-of-the-art facilities<\/b><\/h3>\n

We have facilities structured in different areas, which have treatment lines for each type of waste. They occupy an area of <\/span>18,000 m\u00b2<\/b> and have a capacity to treat up to <\/span>165,000 mt\/year <\/b>of MARPOL waste of all types: <\/span>hazardous, non-hazardous, solid and\/or liquid<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also have our own Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP<\/strong>), where we manage and treat industrial wastewater.<\/span><\/p>\n

In-house laboratory and different treatment lines<\/b><\/h3>\n

The process starts in our laboratory where we proceed to the characterization of MARPOL waste in order to define the corresponding treatment line. Once determined, MARPOL waste is managed and recovered at our plant <\/span>through the following processes<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n
